    I downloaded ClipRead
        and it was so fast
              and easy
           I feel like
                 I must have missed something.

    Even spookier
         is that
            I went to
               the John Dewey link,
          opened the text
                  ("How We Think"),
           highlighted the first chapter
              and copied it,
         then just
            opened clipread
                   from my desktop
                and it magically appeared there
                        [in LiveInk format].

    Could it be?

    Wow.

    So,
         I'm in
             and I love it.

    And Dewey
           isn't as painful to read.

    LiveInkŪ Reading Format
        conveys visual cues
              to sentence content
                   through a patented method
                       of formatting text
                     in the pleasing,
           poetic-prose style
             that you are reading
                 right now.

    LiveInkŪ format
        is very easy
               on the eyes,
           because it
            doesn't force you
                  to track long lines
                       of horizontal text.

    Instead,
           your eyes float
               down the screen,
         absorbing sentences
             that have been broken
                   down through
                     computerized
                        grammatical analysis
                  to improve the brain's ability
                       to extract
                     meaning and build comprehension.

    Research at the Center
           for Cognitive Sciences
         at the University of Minnesota
        has demonstrated striking benefits:
            doubling and tripling
               of reading comprehension,
           and dramatic gains
               in retention of material read.

    Used in
           a 9th-grade social studies
         course over a two-year period,
           LiveInk improved fluency
               and comprehension,
         particularly among struggling
               and reluctant readers,
           and raised reading test scores,
         on average,
           one full grade point.
